Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 drop vanilla extract (less than 1/8 tsp.) or a small scraping of vanilla seeds (less than ¼ pod)
  • Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. matcha tea powder
  • ½ to 1 tsp. raw honey or maple syrup

Preparation

  1. In a small saucepan, gently warm milk with vanilla and nutmeg. Increase temperature to achieve a soft, rolling boil, then immediately remove from heat.
  2. Whisk in matcha powder until frothy.
  3. Add honey and serve warm or, in warm weather, you can simply whisk all the ingredients together and serve cold.
